Nationwide

51 Broadway, London W13 9BP, UK – 0800 554 0214

However I would not rate the Nationwide experience as a whole at 5 stars, I would like to say that Vinnie from this particular branch was most helpful in resolving issues with opening a new account. Very kind and friendly individual. Thank you. Monika

Normally less queues than other banks. Friendly staff.

Equally they can be entirely useless depending on the chair. If they have networking events associated with them definitely go, and keep going, if you have a business that need local support. Dental Surgeries

Bridge Dental Practice & Cosmetic Studio

14 St John's Rd, Isleworth TW7 6NN, UK – 020 8560 1544

I am so very happy to have chosen this practice to take care of my dental health. They are very welcoming and also very professional and knowledgeable. The best thing is that they run offers very often! Very much recommended

Good dental practice where I get sympathetic and expert care from the hygienist on a regular basis, and also from dentist Dr Bhogal, whose knowledge and expertise is very extensive particularly in cosmetic dentistry and putting in white Cerec fillings to replace amalgam fillings which are likely to last a lot longer and not crack. The only thing is at the moment he is not working full time at the practice and often will refer me to other specialists when I need them, although these recommendations are always to very good practices.

Lim Dental Practice

4 High St, London W3 6LJ, UK – 020 8992 4208

Been with these guys for years, always excellent service and wonderful staff.

81 S Ealing Rd, London W5 4QR, UK – 020 8914 8226

Today I went to the South Ealing Dental Practice for an emergency filling replacement and Dr. Ghassan Radi was WONDERFUL. Really lovely, utterly professional, friendly, confident, and funny! The staff clearly are very happy and the whole place has an excellent vibe. You know when you can tell a place is good right away? Truly, highly HIGHLY recommended.

Recently i had a dentle treatment in southealing dentle practice with Dr Radi, Dr Radi and his team is very professional, i am very impressive. Outstanding service, thank you .👍👍

Crown Street Surgery

2 Lombard Court, 1-23 Crown St, London, Acton W3 8SA, UK – 020 8992 2010

I have been a patient at Crown Street for over 30 years and have always been treated quickly, kindly, with respect and any ailments solved satisfactorily. Their support throughout my cancer treatment 6 years ago was exemplary and continues today. I find the telephone appointment system works very well. Due to the volume of patients phoning in every morning, I may have to hang on the phone for sometime, BUT this is a small price to pay for an appointment on the day. Friends tell me they can't get same day appointments with their GP and the usual waiting time is a week or more, so we are well served at Crown Street I recommend this surgery very highly!

Getting an appointment time was a bit difficult, and I did have to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment which wasn't ideal. However, this is not the fault of the surgery, more a sign of the strain that the NHS is under. I have been to see Dr Anil Sagar a couple of times now and he has been absolutely wonderful; very genuine and sincere but also easy to talk to. The rest of the staff have been friendly and helpful - I would recommend this practice to anyone.

Roseneath Medical Practice

Mount Ararat Rd, Richmond TW10 6PA, UK – 020 3771 8962

Dr Soori is superb, as is the whole practise. I have used the surgery three times now, twice for me and once for my daughter. On each occasion - covering a wide variety of issues - the level of care and treatment has been first class. It is not just the approachable and efficient service but also that extra ingredient of a Doctor who seems to have time to focus wholly on the issue to hand and obviously really cares deeply about the well being of her patients. First class.

Dr Sorry is brilliant. My wife and I have seen her numerous times often at short notice and her advice and professionalism has been brilliant. We would definitely recommend her.

I've used the GP services a good few times for myself and for my very young son. Dr Jude and the walk in Dr are both fantastic, very knowledgeable and efficient. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Fast and easy, walked in for ear syringing with no appointment, waited only 10 mins.

Find Local Churches & Places of Worship

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church

A notable feature of this church is that the confessional have frosted glass so you can see, but not hear, what's going on.

Lovely church, sadly it wasn't open the day I visited.

Immanuel Church Brentford

St Paul's Rd, Brentford TW8 0PN, UK – 07873 495230

I don't have any family in the area, but this church has quickly become my family. There are those from all stages and ages to encourage and bless. The preaching and teaching is solid and focused on the gospel: that Jesus came to seek and save the lost. I am reminded of this weekly that I don't have to have it all together to come to church, because I know the One who does hold everything together will meet me there! And there will be a group of people clinging to that same promise and help me to remember that.

Warm, welcoming, great preaching. Coffee's not bad either :)

St Mellitus Church, Hanwell

Heartfelt service this morning. Sermon very gracious and eye opening about love and how we all wish to give and be kind and to receive love and kindness.

Great work guys! They visited my backyard and collected all rubbish in less then 2 hours!

Townmead Road Re-use and Recycling Centre

Townmead Rd, Kew, Richmond TW9 4EL, UK – 020 8876 3281

Overall this place is good, but can be very busy a lot of the time. I use it fairly regularly as it's my closest recycling point. I find it is easy to use, with most things clearly signed and when I haven't been able to find the right area, staff working there have been polite and helpful. The site is a big improvement on the muddy dump it was before. The main improvement I would like is a better traffic system that means I can get out once I'm finished, without being blocked by the queue of cars waiting to get in. For those reviewers who complain about the staff tearing open the black bags. This done to ensure the highest amount of waste is recycled, as some users just want to dump and run. And no I'm not related to, or friends with anyone working there.

I use this place quite a lot. Although the staff vary they're generally helpful and polite and while they may mildly scold you if you bring too much they are usually not Jobsworths. A reasonable balance. I hope they maintain this policy. DIY can generate a lot of waste, and rules aimed at men in white vans just penalise normal citizens. Not that there's anything wrong with men in white vans.

Acton Re-use and Recycling Centre

3 Stirling Rd, London W3 8DJ, UK – 020 8993 7580

Bear in mind the summer/winter closing time as winter does not match the info Google info please view pictures uploaded for correct timings.

Small when compared to Greenford & doesn't accept certain stuff like rubble but efficient enough & the staff are pretty friendly. Be warned: they often make last entry 15 minutes before actual closing time.

Give and get free stuff. Here you will find lots of items that people are willing to give away, for FREE! This is instead of taking them to a local landfill site. The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.
We all know that we need to recycle more - and this is a great way of doing it.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Hounslow

Annie's

162 Thames Rd, Chiswick, London W4 3QS, UK – 020 8994 9080

Really good restaurant, the food is extra fresh, fine and delicious. The place feels like you are eating in someone living room. I really enjoy my meal and the service

Quirky dinning experience...in a really good way. Good food, cheeky and friendly staff. Go and enjoy.

Harvester

Boston Rd, London W7 2AX, UK – 020 8567 3711

Another well maintained Harvester restaurant. I went over a dinner and the experience was above expectations. The waitress who served us was very kind and prompt. The food was delivered without much of a delay. It was delicious indeed. Portion size were decent. Clean restaurant and washrooms. I would recommend this Harvester to anyone . Thanks.

Lovely and peaceful place to dine. Food was lovely though was only given a very small portion of chips. However their salad bar was fresh and bread rolls had just come out. You make your own atmosphere and enjoyment. Food took a bit longer to come out even though the time of day we went it wasn't busy. Seemed like staff were having a catch up by the bar. The new refurbishment and Christmas decoration looks lovely. They have a lovely baby station with a mini microwave to warm up baby food and a bottle warmer.

Leon Richmond

Unit 2 35, 38 Lower George Street, Richmond TW9 1HY, UK – 020 8940 1492

After coming in and making a joke about needing coffee because I'm so tired, I then proceeded to spill my entire coffee all over myself, the table and chair and floor. The staff were so kind to me about it and brought me over a fresh coffee on the house. Small things go a long way - it meant a lot after a bad morning! THANK YOU!!

Must visit place! Really good menu and value for money. Loads of options for kids. Yummyyy

Bright Horizons Chiswick Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Evershed Walk, Chiswick, London W4 5BW, UK – 0333 920 0404

This is a wonderful school, I could not ask more of them. The staff is always friendly, the facility is always clean and in good repair, and best of all the teachers treat each child as an individuals.

I feel safe leaving my children at this nursery. The staff really do care about the children and I feel that their needs are being met emotionally, educationally and socially. They keep me informed about everything, even minor incidents. They have a sensible Calpol policy, giving it when needed with the permission of a parent so I don't have to go running to pick the kids up each time a new tooth comes through and causes a bit of a temperature. There is a very low turnover of staff so the children see the same faces each day and get to know and love their key carers. They all seem to have a very good level of training. The activities are fun and educational and I'm so pleased to see the way my son has developed from a shy baby into a confident toddler here. The only downside is the price, which is high by anyone's standards, and with two children it is actually cheaper to get a nanny. However my son is so happy at Teddies that I decided it was worth it even with two as a nanny would never be able to give the attention to both children individually in the way they are cared for here.

Clifton Lodge Preparatory School & Nursery

8 Mattock Ln, London W5 5BG, UK – 020 8579 3662

My son arrived at Clifton Lodge from a not so good school. We wanted a mixed-gender, happy school, and Clifton Lodge provides just that. What we did not expect was the strength in depth of both teaching and support, tailored to the particular needs of each child. Parents who wish to are able to get involved with each other and the school - there is a strong sense of community at Clifton Lodge. We trust the headmaster (Dr Thamia) and his team to do their very best by our children. He has always made himself available to answer our queries we may have and has dealt with any occasional issues our son mat have faced. We cannot imagine a better environment for my son to start his education and development. We are only sorry he missed out on the original starting years. I recommend this school without any hesitation. The extra circular activities are excellent and the English lesson, like all the other subjects are taught with such passion. Its is lovely to watch our son grow with knowledge, maturity and confidence. Thank you. Clifton Lodge. Helpful? I have been a parent at Clifton Lodge School for a good few years, four years precisely to be exact. I found the school to be a quaint, friendly, caring full of laughter and study of exhilarating lessons. The school is full of inspirational subjects empowering all the children who attend. The teachers are all approachable and display an attitude of compassion to every child in any year. My son who currently attends arrived from a not so good school but quickly gained confidence and friends at Clifton Lodge. The Science, History and Geography plus the extra circular activities are excellent while English, which is a dominant subject for my son is taught with a sincere passion. This inspires my son to do better, and to achieve which he does and has! Thank you Clifton Lodge for all your hard input and support.

My child was there for two whole years and yet described it as the most exhilarating experience in his whole life. He enjoyed every single moment there. The teachers were always there to help and were extremely kind. He described the teachers as hilarious at times and could never wait to go back the next day. It is appalling to see such negative reviews on this school from some people. Every aspect of Clifton Lodge is fantastic. The education they provide is outstanding and the teachers work to core to help all the children. My child was in the school play and when we got home described himself as heart-broken due to the fact it was last year. He was sad as he didn't feel he spent as much time with his friends as he would have liked to. However he then added, "if it wasn't for Clifton Lodge they wouldn't have been my friends in the first place." This was truly an example of how Clifton Lodge is one of the best schools the country can offer. He also described it as a big family and everyone always looked out for each other.
